Fuel Trim: Bank 1&2 (Mult): System to Rich

Post by KiwiRS4 » Wed Jul 01, 2009 9:31 am

Hi Gents,

Had the engine light pop up on the way home today. Ran VAG-COM across it and found these two codes.

2 Faults Found:
17535 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Mult): System too Rich
P1127 - 35-00 - -
17537 - Fuel Trim: Bank 2 (Mult): System too Rich
P1129 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: 0000 0000

I've cleared the fault codes, car runs smooth again with no more jumpy starts.

Recently (4K miles ago) had the MAFF, N75, 710N and Lamda's changed by Unit20, so I'm not expecting it to be any of those.

Thoughts?

if you have a boost leak it would bring up these codes. buy yourself a pressure tester, it will be one of your best freinds..

Thanks Jimbo,
I've got her booked in at MRC on Monday so hopefully Doug can run a boost check then. Seems strange that clearing the fault codes allows it to return to normal.
