it wont be for a while yet but from what i have read the t04 is the upgrade which i belive is standard on the 1.8 turbo! my mate says the k04 and k03 are he same externally so is it just a case of boltin them on and a re map?!

The RS4 has K04 turbos.

K04/RS6 hybrids or RS6 turbos are your sensible options. Or you could fit Garrett's like viperbl and hit over 700bhp!

How much do a pair of Garrett's come in at.. or more precisely how much money are we talking about to get to the 700bhp+ mark?

I imagine it wouldn't be cheap as you'd need your big turbos, an engine rebuild with uprated rods and pistons, custom manifolds, possibly a custom head, valves and springs which can cope with higher RPMs, custom exhaust and downpipes, massive injectors, bigger intake set up, massive intercooler(s), etc. You'd basically be starting from scratch!

MRC have done/are doing something closer to the 800bhp mark. I think that uses dual throttle bodies.

The only upgrade for an rs4 turbo is the RS6 turbo(stockish or even bigger) to get a substantial amount more torque and power.
