Black RS4

Have seen a black RS4 advertised for £12995, on a Y-plate.

It has 120k on the clock, a bit leggy but the service manual seems to have been kept up to date.

It's had 2 visits to AMD, has a Milltek (not sure which system), and supposedly has a remap too.

The paintwork is crap, but is supposedly being re-sprayed to sort that out. The interior silver gray interior is also not great, again being sorted out.
The boot lid interior trim is coming lose, also needing attention.
The wheels (the original 9" spoke style but probably copies) have been re-done and look good.
The zorst sounds good.
The engine on starting sounded a little rattley (maybe tappets?), but not having seen/heard an RS4 before, not sure if this is common?

Tax and MoT till next year.

Would need to find some more history on it (like when were brakes/cambelt last done), but what do you think?

It doesnt sound like it has alot going for it mate,crap exterior crap interior and a rattley engine,its an audi even with 120k on it it should all be good still unless its not been well cared for,i would look elswere as there must be better high milers out there,it could easily be a false economy buying what appears to be a cheap rs4 if the rest of it is in the same shape,mine is also for sale on pistonheads and here but @£17995 or realistic offers its probably not in the price range your looking at,i would do your homework on here and gather all the info and be thoroughly inspecting any possible purchases as bringing a car up to spec can be expensive and you could quickly end up with low mileage money in a high mileage car if you know what i mean

maybe tappets ! it could be the early signs of cams on the way out ! i would pay a bit more for a better conditioned rs.
