Filled-up last night. Just loving all this cheap oil that's around at the moment! :D Credit Crunch does have it's plus points!

It was £1.20-30ish not that long ago. 20 MPG all of a sudden doesn't see such an issue!

You are the lucky ones. Cant get Tesco 99 here in NI. I have phoned them as to why and they tell me there is not the demand for it and very unlikey that it will be sold here. Have to make do with BP Ultimate!

funny this thread . . . bout 5 months back, I put a similar thread on the RS 6 section, headed Tesco 99 - 99.9ppl, and that was with my 5p off voucher, and at the time that seemed cheap ! It then went down to about 87.9ppl at its best, now its 93.9ppl, but i had another 5p off voucher !

Also, a tip for you guys out there with a clubcard and tesco credit card

buy your Tesco 99 with your credit card and collect your clubcard points as at the mo there is double club card points on petrol.

Therefore, for £1 of petrol, you get 2 club card points + 0.5 clubcard points for paying on your credit card =2.5points

If your not aware, you can exchange clubcard vouchers for x4 their value on all sorts, i.e. eurotunnel vouchers, restaurant vouchers, holidays etc etc

Therefore, multiply your 2.5points by 4 and you're effectively getting 10 points back per £1, which is 10p, which is 10% - which is pretty good !

Especially driving an RS 6 !

need to release capital

life plans for the future dictate

luckily have sourced a B6 S4 with 30k for £10k which seems pretty good (1owner from new) - so not downgrading too far !

Im suprised its got so high without a protest,i remember when i picked my b5 up i went with them to fill her up and commented on £45 not being much (due to smaller tank in a quattro) isnt it almost criminal at the minute,i run a diesel for work but am putting £25 a week more through that than i was a year ago!!

fuel costs have been crippling me costing nearly £150 per week so i bit the bullet and got a 1.8 focus td as a daily runner, thats reduced my fuel cost down to £40 per week. the cars not going to take long to pay for itself in savings.

isnt there something car owners can do to show the governement we're not happy (they've all got there heads up each others ass*s at the moment) they cant tell right from wrong.

something surely. last year i remember it being 87p for 99ron, i would still be happy if it was 97p ....but over quid is taking the mick now.

i assume nothing can be done

Juice mate - what's the national budget deficit ATM - 79 bilionty bilionty millionty pounds ---

How do you think the govt is going to prevent this country from going bust?

That's right - we'll all pay - esp the motorist....

All political parties have no option but to do the same - so it's not like your vote in 6 weeks time will make any difference!
