Annoying noise
Annoying noise
Noticed today when my missus had the passenger side window down, that there's an annoying squeaking noise coming from the back passenger side wheel. Now when i break the noise stops,so i pressume its something to do with the brake caliper/disk/pad on that side.It also only starts after about 10 mins of driving, noise sounds like a bird twittering.Any ideas? Thanks Jay
RE: Annoying noise
I get that all the time, I assume its the suspension but it hasn't changed in nearly 2 years!

RE: Annoying noise
Well... I have had this squeeking for over 3 years now so i decided i had had enough about 2 weeks ago. I spent that morning going around the car, checking or having a good look at everything...
Finally... I found the boot lid was the cause... It was slightly wrong fitting so i adjusted it so it was more tight in the latch... and hey presto... no more squeeking... There wasnt any adjustment on the boot lid catch so i had to remove the boot cover lining at the back of the bumper (actually in the boot though) to get at the adjustable latch...
Might help but maybe worth a go anyway... Just remember to keep the lines of the body panels nice and straight...
Hope this helps... but if not... sorry...

Common lots of cars and almost certainly where the noise is coming from. Not such an expensive fix

This squeaking is really getting louder especially the longer the car has been running(quite embarrasing),dont think its any af the above and it is coming from the rear wheel area,Could it be a wheel bearing? The squeking stops when i apply the brakes but starts again as soon as i take pressure of brake pedal.Anybody any clues.
