fitted ballast unit

A few weeks back my passenger side xenon went out and after some help from you guys it is finally sorted.

I ordered a slim line ballast from convert2xenon for £35 and it works perfectly.

I removed the old ballast unit then took a hammer to it, this allowed me to locate the new ballast under the fixing plate of the old one, this also ensured the headlight was still water tight.

Pretty simple really took about an hour.

Anyway thanks for the help.

Hi Andy, do you have a link to the slimline ballast you got?

I recently bought a HID set with slimline ballasts, but there is another little box wired in as well which i'm struggling to understand how i'll fir in my facelift headlights.

I seem to remeber that you (Blue thunder) was having issues getting it all to fit - But my slim line, with the additional bit that you mention, all fitted in fine once i'd removed the old ballast from the mounting plate, wires, additional bit and all. So like AndyC says, simple and about an hour. Forgot to take photos tho... Doh!

I got the slim line ballast from convert2xenon.co.uk, to deal with the additional bit on the ballast unit I just stuffed it inside the void of the headlamp unit.
