Advice on Brakes

Post by BAX123 » Sun Jan 04, 2009 8:20 pm

Currently on the look out for replacement front discs (and pads) for the RS4.

i would love to go for the B7 upgrade, but cant really afford the expense right at the time i need new discs.
I've come across Disc Brakes Austrailia / dba, and they seem like the business and reasonably priced? anyone had experience with these discs? or any other/better recommnedations would be welcome. cheers

DBA do replacements for the RS4? Thats new to me.

Could be worth a look if they're sensibly priced I suppose.

i had dba discs on my r33 gtr and the only problem i had with them was the first time i had them i used a track pad and cracked the disc, next two sets were bang on no problems what so ever. i was actualy going to look into this when it came time to replace mine, i'm thinking dba disc's (if they do them) either red stuff or ds2500 pads and some braid'd lines. was going to mod some old gtr brembos but can't be ar$ed.

edit. are these's correct virdee http://www.dba.com.au/view_product.php? ... ies_id=261

no stock but approx 7-10 days to arrive of OZ

Cheers Matt, i actually spoke to the fellas at Clark motorsport thismorning aswell, seemed like a good guy, very helpful. i think my RS4 will be running a shiny new set of DBA's as soon as he can get em. from everything i've read the discs sound very good, and unsuprisingly cheaper than Audi OEM replacements.

I could be in for a set of drilled discs.
Do you have pics of them?
Are these solid or composite discs?

Did anyone manage to get hold of the 4000 series discs from DBA or a UK distributor?
