Bye Bye Yellow lights!

Hello!

Getting rid of the yellow tinted head/side light bulbs, i needed side light bulbs but they sent me headlight bulbs instead, which i'll swap too, but does any extremly intelligent person know the type of buld used as the side lights (about half the size of the headlight bulbs).

Also anyone know if i need to take the whole headlamp casing out to access the clips on the back to remove the bulbs???

Any light on this subject would be appreciated!! (har har)

You need a pair of H6W 433C BAX9 LED sidelight bulbs

You can fit them without moving the headlights, but you need small hands, skinny fingers and a fair degree of patience.

BLB/BS434. That's the standard part number for the side light bulb for a xenon car

Don't know if a non xenon car is the same. They are 6w halogen bulbs.

They can be changed in situ. Just an interference fit, no clips for the side light. But if a facelift car (one piece headlamps), then it's only 3 bolts to take out the headlamp. 30secs!

Got LED's in mine- agree with everything Nige said- have to remove the air intake gubbins for the left side, pop the back off and gently pull the bulb holder out. Two pin bulb, can't remember if they're offset pins and re-assemble! Took me about 15 mins in all and I have none of the attributes Nige mentioned! there was a link to a LED bulb supplier if you look back thru some posts from 8 or 9 months ago.

Is it unheard of to replace the rear bulbs for the LED type?

Now that we started LED discussion. Does anybody else have replaced all the interior, register plate etc bulbs with bright white LEDs?
I did, and it was really worth it!

oh boy.. this is looking GREAT!! I searched on the internet for proper LED light bulbs to replace all, but the sites I found offering replacements are quite unclear about compatibility.. so I ended up in ordering nothing :S
