Hi everyone - not been on the site for a while.
Still have the S3 but need something bigger so was considering RS4.
I have read over a lot of the common probs on the site so have an idea what to look for.
Any thoughts on this example?
many thanks

Don't think you will get a bundle more room from the S3. I have a B5 RS4, wife has an A3 TDI, pretty similar inside except the boot. Don't forget the RS4 has f*** off thick seats.

doesn't the S3 have the same Recaro seats?

boot is really what i am after guys.
I realise they are not the most spacious of cars.
S3 now sold and on the look out for B5 RS4 or B6 S4!

Or RS6? Oddly you can get a newer RS6 which is larger and more powerful (if not actually faster) for the same price as an older RS4.

If you can afford the petrol to go in it...

But that just shows you which car holds it value better, and is more desirable IMO.
Plus with the RS4, no DRC worries, and no stupid auto gearbox!
Not trying to create a RS6 vs RS4 debate, just the facts.

And if you get the right age RS4 you won't be hit by the road tax hikes over the next few years either!

..and then there's the rarity of an RS4 vs RS6 (which no doubt has an influence on its favourable residual values) plus fuel consumption - RS6 would be sub 20 I gather while my RS4 is 24-25 long term (again this no doubt reflects in the values with 115 p/pl!).
On the other hand I bet its easier to find a good RS6

Thats it exactly, I prefer the look and rarity of the RS4, but its much easier find good RS6s.
