I have a RNS-E Sat nav console which was advertised to come from a RS4 but clearly doesn't fit!! Does anybody know anyone who has managed to fit it on without a botched-job?

There is no direct fitment for the RNS-E into a B5 RS4, you've probably bought one from the newer B7 model. The one you'll need is from a A6 allroad/RS6+ etc but it'll still need trimmed slightly.

Yep, a lot of info already on this one and very nice jobs done in the past. Now that you've got the RNS-E I'd hang onto it and be patient with the install.

All is not lost because you could get a faceplate made up by Virdee (R33V-Spec)
See this thread for example pictures... but he can also get piano black ones made up that Doug (MRC) has had made.

DVD-based Sat Nav Plus, as opposed to the optional CD-based Sat Nav Plus for the B5 (RNS-D)

How can I get hold of Virdee (R33-Vspec) as he has not answered his PM?
What other bits do I need to get the Sat Nav to work with traffic Master/ clock/CD and Radio? Where can I get them?
Sorry for all the questions and sounding thick but I am totally not used to getting these parts outside the stealers.

Yeah I assume he is as I've PM'd him a couple of weeks ago and it's still in my Outbox.
- FYI I posted my write up when I fitted it to my car to this thread :
http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... e&start=15 It includes links to the threads here and on the Navplus forum that will tell you everything you need to know. If you get stuck feel free to PM me and I'll help where I can.

- Yeah I realise that - hence I why I assumed he's either on holiday or hasn't signed into the forum for a while
