I think the Quantum range available from VW/Audi retailers is UK only.
Their oils are made by Castrol I believe, can you get that in Italy?

As a very new owner of an RS4, I too am looking for recommendations on the correct grade of oil to use.

Audi UK state, along with the owners service booklet that the oil should meet VW 503.01 specification, the dealers are saying to use VW 504 (the new standard), etc.....

I spoke to www.opieoils.co.uk and they recommended for a standard engine to use a Motul 0w-30 to stay within the Audi recommendation or to use Silkolene Pro S 5w-40.

I read alot of posts with people using Quantum Synta Gold 5w-40, but where do you obtain it in the UK. GSF seem to only have the Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL 5w-40 as a direct replacement for the Quantum oil.

What's the consensus on the correct oil grade?

Hi Guys.
I've decided to go Royal Purple 5w40. Found it at 16€/lt here in Italy.

But i need to change also gearbox and rear diff oil.
I'll go with Royal Purple MaxGear 75w90 for the gearbox, but not sure what to use for the rear diff.

Any suggestion??
