Looks good. Shame about the shabby Parrot handsfree install.

Hi thre,
I've driven this very car. It was at Guildford Audi as an approved used up for a shocking £26k.
I hated the seats - it's not full leather. The car when i turned up was dirty inside and out and looking at the service has had diff problems in the past. The audi dealer tried to blag that they had just done the cam belt at a cost of £3,000...i didn't believe them.
For the money it was up at i expected and absolutely immaculate car - it's not and has a few scratches and stone chips......

JimyFloyd,
From memory can you say what the problems were with the service history of this vehicle or warrently claim, etc as I'm booked in for a test drive tomorrow!

Looks great lemonpuff.
Full leather wears and cracks, my hi-tech looks like new still and it's not so slippery.
Looks nice and you can be confident that it's wont have had any significant panel repairs unlike many for sale even at specialists.
It's going to have some chips at that mileage so don't worry.
There should be an approved used car checklist that the dealership will have completed listing everything they have checked, ask if you can see this, mine came with my car.

Well it wasnt complete. I think they only showed me 2 service invoices - not sure if they had the rest elsewhere.
The main issue i had were the mention of the leaking diff on both invoices, the fact that the car was dirty in and out and that the dealer was a bit of an idiot.
The car drove fine and went well but wasn't that highly spec'd up. Although it does have the SIPS airbags. I don't like the seat though - but thats personal preference!
Good luck.

Thanks very much everyone, I will test drive it tomorrow and see how the Service History stacks up.
The other RS4 I'm interested in is at Fontain's, 2001 on a X plate, 20K miles;

anyone know anything about it?
Many thanks

I had a look at the Guidford Audi RS4. Thought it was a bit scruffy for the money they were asking for at the time - £26k. The sills were quite badly scuffed and some of the interior door trim too. Might be stuff that would clean up but is surprising they haven't prepped the car a bit prior to selling it.

They probably leave that down to final negotiation just in case they don't find a buyer and have to dispose of it cheaply, if they say no to rectification then leave it - it's been a quiet month in the motor trade so today is the day to get a bargain!

When I looked at mine at Southampton Audi they had prepped the car well but I thought the door sills looked liked they had lost their shine a bit (innevitable due to how much they stick out I guess) so I asked them to respray them which they agreed to and I also asked them to replace the RS4 logo inner sills while they were at it which they also did at no extra cost.
At £26k they should rectify anything that's not right for you.

The one at Fontains for 26k should be a minter really being a 1 owner 20k miles car. I'd go for that based on the mileage alone.

That car above has the same mileage as mine at the moment but without the full leather. I reckon I'd be putting mine on somewhere near that 22-23k if it was up for the sale.

I've seen that one at Fontain's, and it does look mint inside and out. This was up at about £22k at another dealer, so it shows how much room you might have to knock them down a bit.
