Hi all,
New member here in Australia.
I am looking for any feedback on either the Dahlback or MTM 600hp+ kits for the B5RS4.
I have used the search function but no results.
Or if anyone has any other recommendations for this kind of power level let me know.
Cheers
Derek

This is the future:
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=210859
And it costs 1/3.
This is the result of a similar kit, on a BONE STOCK Audi S4 b5. So only turbos, downpipes, and ecu upgrade. Nothing else.

I would like to see those bone stock S4 blocks with that kind of power. I am quite sure that those rods won't last long.

Depends on the torque and where they are putting the limiter. I agree though, I wouldn't
touch this without rods, caps and probably an RS4 crank. Interesting that they seem to be
implying the heads aren't a restriction (which I find difficult to believe).
The stuff looks really, really nice though - particularly the EMs.

thought the main difference between S4 and Rs4 engines was the crank and teh cosworth engineered head?

The list of differences between S4 and RS4 engines is longer than the list of parts they share. hope that sums it up. Oh and I'd love to see real 600 HP at the crank that can take a few Vmax runs on a stock S4 block and heads.

Thanks for all the suggestions lads.
However I am starting with an RS4 not an S4.
I have been in touch with MTM and they need the car there to do it. So thats not an option.
Dahlback are the same.
I can do the Oettinger kit for 520hp bolt on and no internals, drive away and reliable.
What I am looking for is someone who has done 600hp+ and info on what they used. This customer wants 600+hp.
I am an Oettinger and APR dealer here in Sydney so I am capable of doing what ever it takes but I don't want it to be experimental as the customer lives a few hundred km's away.
I appreciate all your help.
Cheers
Derek

Are you able to do ECU custom-tunes?

If need be I can get custom tune locally. I don't do them myself.
Its more a hardware kit that is going to be reliable and "unbreakable" that I am after. The less internals I have to the better also. Are the heads, crank, rods, bolts and pistons good to go to 600hp? Am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

IMHO, the best choiche for 600+ hp should be the kit i showed you (
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=210859).
Plus rods (1000-1200 $) and new pistons rings.
A Garrett turbo setup is MUCH MUCH more reliable than a KKK setup, due to decreased boost pressures.
For ex:
To make 450hp with a K04 setup you need 25psi of boost.
To make the same hp with a Garret setup you need only 15-17 psi of boost!!
If i were you, i'd choose the GT2860-7 Garrett turbo. It is capable of 310hp, and of 31lbs of boost!!
Bye

he is a car tuner he must know all about flow rates and pressures...
