After crumbling to peer group pressure its time to take the plunge and release a few more ponies from the car and I am trying to decide what route to take for the exhaust.
Set criteria so far is:
1) must not boom, i.e. be as refined as OEM as the car is used predominantly for long journeys.
2) Looking to get in the region of Stage 3 (460ish) in terms of performance.
I’ve been in a couple of cars with Miltek 100cel systems and some seem to drone and others don’t. Is this just my perception or is it a fitment issue which causes some to be worse than others?
After reading the other thread about exhausts the Supersprint looks like a ‘neat’ product in terms of the weld quality (from the photos in the thread but also their website) but I haven’t been in a car / seen one fitted in person so don’t have a clue what these sound like in comparison to the others.
So…
options
1) Gut pre-cats and a cat back exhaust – (how close does this get u to stage 3 without the massive expense of cats?)
2) Full system be it Miltek / supersprint / sportec.
3) Custom bad boy. the RS fabrications one I heard on Flashys car was awesome but might be a wee bit too loud for long distance.
Any help as to what go for would be a massive help!
Cheers Rob
