Impressive RS4....

Post by Mikey-S » Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:37 pm

Me and a couple of friends have just been to the Wiggin Tree for our first RS246 meet. I wanted to put a paper bag over my pretty standard S4 when I set eyes on the line up of quality motors! They put my car to shame..

One friend owns a Lamborghini Countach, and has driven loads of other 'Supercars' like Diablo's, Murcielago's, Gallardo's, and lesser supercars ie Ferrari's. He's not easily impressed, and drives VERY fast.

Anyway...... after some arm twisting, he managed to bag a ride in an Avus Silver RS4. He came back from the ride and was COMPLETELY blown away... He said without a doubt it was the fastest car he has EVER been in.. EVER! Apparently he was driven on to a private airstrip near the M6  and was shown what a real car can do. He said it had massive amounts of pull, totally effortless, the likes of which he had never experienced before... (and don't forget he owns a V12 Lambo).. He was gobsmacked. He mentiond something about how easily you lit up the tyres around the roundabout..... IIRC he called it a Lambo eater, Ballistic missile, and a F***ing monster. Actually, he's still calling it a F***ing monster. I didn't manage to bag a ride, but I did hear it screaming along. It has one of those exhaust notes that make your hairs stand up on end.. I'm sure you know what I mean.

So to the owner (you know who you are). Thanks a million for letting my friend experience your car, and if you're ever insane enough to put it up for sale, he'll be the first to show you the cash...

See you next time!

Mental, I want a ride!!

Having toyed with with some serious machinery of late, I realize just how quick the 2.7T can be. The HP figure doesnt tell it all. The bags of torque and the grip makes our cars a force to be reconed with.

I have taken a 500HP+ Lambo Countach, Ferrari 360, Bently Continental GT, 911 Turbo (latest 480HP) and I just walk away. They are either lighter with similar HP or more HP/theoretically more torque and I still walk away.

Absolutely awesome. I can only imagine the boys running over 600 must be in a totally different league.

LETS PRAY the next S4 (B8??) is a 3.0 v6 TFSI 320HP... let the experimenting start again.

That pikeys' been let out again I hear. O NO.
Spreading the -something- me thinks, indeed!

Car is running well then. only pulling back 0-0-0.8-0.8 in block 7. (MRC tuned) :beerchug:
Boost could be higher me thinks.
This car has just had all the right mods all at once, no messing just all the usual mods,
I'm Sure you know what I mean. nothing special.
Want to do M/W I, and another re-map, then thats it,

Doug, is this not the car which was in your garage when I was down last, the one with the front number plate cut out.

Beastly brakes IIRC!!!
