As above. Pleased with it?, have Revo on my S3 and like its aggressive delivery and considering going that way again.

I had REVO on my old RS4.
It was VERY agressive, and an animal on the open road.
Its the only reason I bought the car :)

Best thing about it was the ability to go back into standard mode with the supplied dongle. Not that you'd want to drive a standard '4, was moreso for use when popping into dealers, or when handing the keys over to the Mrs ;)

No, think the corrado gets to keep it. If i go to a show with another car wearing that plate i'd get the same questions all day long lol. Interesting how Corrado owners seem to be attracted to the same cars tho'.

Welcome Lee - That's one awesome Corrado BTW

I have Revo code on my RS4, but it is a custom map. If you're thinking just a map, then don't bother and get this "stage one" instead - Tanoga short shift, B7 brakes, KW v3, Powerflex bushes, and H&R (fat) ARBs.

IMHO a "stage two" is Milltek/Sportec full system and a nice custom map of your choice.

<beep> Me

Is that Guy as well? That took a long time to twig, sorry about that mate.

So thats Webbo, Guy, Lee and I from ex-corrado land, on one thread.

It is interesting that we all stay VAG. It is alos interesting that 3 out of the 4 spent far, far to much on their corrados. (understatement of the year)

Would be interesting to get all of our RS4's together to see them at some point?

Anyhow, back on topic. I started with a Revo code, it was very harsh (especially for my 'old girl') I ended up with a custom re-map from MRC and am much much happier with the results. Especially if you are there when it is done, you can ask Mihnea for exactly waht you want. For Example: my car has huge miles on so I wanted safe power - many generic codes just wop the boost up.

Anyhow - <beep> messing around with the tuning, get the stereo in 1st.

This is my car after 4 days of ownership.

Yes i have a Revo map on my B5 and to be honest wish i went to MRC for the custom map. Yes the boost is very aggresive but this comes at a price -higher up the rev range my timing is backing off nearly 10 degrees and it runs hot. (all logging done via vag com). I often get a engine warning light flash with a 'random multiple missfire' (always says pot 4?). Plugs, coil packs, DV's all changed and a full health check carried out by Doug at MRC.

However saying this i have now brought the 'select plus' Revo option which enables me to get good performance without trying to run high boost and too much timing - switching settings with winter and summer conditions. (we all know these cars love the cold air) and it keeps the CF's under control......

Again each car will behave very differently, so if you opt for a Revo map i suggest you also go for the select plus and vag com is a must if you have not got it already - this way you can make fine adjustments when required.

I am still saving my hard earned cash to go for the full engine conversion with RS6 or equiv turbos for the magical 500 plus BHP, hope MRC can fit me in in a couple of years !!!!

If you need help with the data logging i use a guy called Rob in Headcorn Kent - very good with all VAG cars, plus he's very reasonable on price.

Good luck what ever you go for, post back if you need Rob's number.

I bought my car with the revo already, along with the controller. Found it very aggresive when i turned it to the max at a rolling road day.

Do you need a remap before using the controller, as i'll be getting rid of mine?

If the settings for the REVO are all set to 9 then the car is not going to perform at it's best, the settings should be based on how the car performs and only put on the settings that best suit it.
If your timing is backing off then the boost and timing settings are set too high.
Any REVO dealer that just uploads the map and then adjusts the settings to "9" without measuring the various parameters is not doing their job properly.
On a custom map if you set the boost and timing too high you would have the same results, REVO just allows the end user (with the switching boxes) to "go play" if they wish.

Great!! especially if the user or supplier doen't know what they are doing.
