I think that JMH short shifter is way more better: http://www.jhmotorsports.com/products/

It eliminates the sloppyness, see it yourself from here: http://www.jhmotorsports.com/products/shifters.html I just received mine ;)

I'll third the Tanoga shifter. Had mine for a few years, and has been nothing but perfect.

Im going to stick my neck out and say a number of S4 owners have fitted the ebay unit which costs £35... now I am absolutely sure it is not a touch on the tonaga unit which I have heard lots about... but I have had mine fitted over a year now and it has been fine. yes it is not perfect, but fine, certainly a hell of a lot better than standard. For £35... its worth trying, dont like it, then spend £100-150 on a tonaga one.

I have now the "eBay-shifter". Only bad thing about it is the ball housing (well that's a Audi part). It is made from plastic, and wears out and then the ball is loose and sloppy. I hate that. With the JHM shifter that part is eliniminated.
