OK, anyone got any rough costs and time it takes to literally just swap the unit

Have Nav Plus now + TV tuner, do I need to change anything with existing TV tuner as well??

Cheers

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

Mine took about half an hour to do, in a services car-park. I paid £1150 for everything, which included BT phone module, latest navigation disc and fitting. Oh and also included the cost of fitting the carbon front plate as per R33V`s.

Afraid i cant help with TV info. Also my original fitted sat nav still works, completely indepenent of the RNS-E, but had to lose the Cd changer facility.

Mike.

Where did you get the carbon front plate from Mike?

I saw virdee`s (R33V), and contacted him. He had me a duplicate one made, and i am well pleased with it. If you do a search there is a photo of it somewhere, probably last October-ish time. If i knew how to post photos i would put a pic of mine on here.

Virdee has the price of the Carbon cover changed since I originally spoke to you? I've got all my bits and bobs to start the install and write up a 'how to' for the B5 RS4 just haven't had the time to get started with one thing and another.

I guess the more people interested in getting one then a deal could be had ;-)?

TIA Guy

Well I'm interested, and the write up would be very helpful
There is already a write up for the upgrade for RS6 - can't imagine ours would be MUCH different...????????
