special RS4 color?

Hello,

New member on the forum. I am currently looking for an Audi RS4, this will be my first Audi.

I've seen a couple of them, but really looking for the perfect one.
Yesterday I found one in a strange color I've never seen before: kind of red-burgundy (bordeaux) with tan leather. Quite special to be honnest.

Now, I would be interested to know if this car has a special "one off" color or if this was a standard RS4 color.
What is strange is that on the specification sticker (the one in the service booklet), when you check for paint code .. there's .. nothing!.
I've checked all the optional equipment codes and couldn't find any reference to a special order.

So I need a specialist to answer my question ... what color could that be?.
Do we know some other RS4 with special colors? Was it possible to order them with any color?

My dream was a black one .. but I must say that I felt in love with this one.

I am running a 1974-1975 BMW 2002 Turbo register (the first european car with a turbo by the way) and we know that 12 out of the 1672 produced were delivered in special colors .. so what about the RS4?

Thanks for your answers .. and looking forward to soon have my RS4!

My Denim Blue B5 RS4 also has no paint code on the data sticker as it was special order and 1 of 3 (confirmed) in the UK.
I have seen 100s of VW Audi cars and never seen one before without a paint code!
There was an S4 for sale around a year ago in dark red metallic, I can't see why someone couldn't specify this colour if they could ask for Denim Blue.
You should be able to contact the Audi importer in the country where the car was supplied to check.
Never heard of tan leather though!
I am sure someone who was in the position to order one when they were available will be able to confirm.

Thanks for that. Well I guess tan leather is not that rare because I saw a black one for sale with tan leather (I was too late for that car unfortunately as it was mint).
This is the car. What do you think of the colour?
The car has full service history and is really in good condition, havn't done a test drive yet.

That is Hibiscus Red (Sp??) I've seen an S4 Avant in that colour and it looked great.

I quite like the colour but in the UK dark reds are traditionally seen as an older person's colour!
It's obviously been chosen by somebody who gets what they want regardless of the price and wanted to go around discreetly.
They also have traditional tastes going for a classic Bentley/Jag combination inside and out.

Black optics means that the window surrounds and roof rails are painted in matt black rather that brushed aluminium.

A very interesting find!

Must be in the translation from Swiss!
I agree Jarv it looks like the 'Sesame' leather I had in an Audi Cabriolet.
Still unusual and definitely not 'Silver'.

Very rare it seems, and doesn't look bad at all!

As has been stated does look very much like hibiscus red, and the cream leather IMHO looks very nice, and a nice change from the usual black and silver!

I hear that Switzerland is the greatest market for Audi S/RS models, so not surprised you found this rare model!

have a look at these two threads and the right hand side mirrors look smaller on these cars aswell.

Yeah, I never noticed that before. They look about the same size as a Golf R32..... Not an option with alloy covers I guess.....
