I know this question has been asked before what is the limit of rs4 rods and everybody comes out with 600 or more bhp but can someone tell what they are pushing through there OEM rods.

ie: is somone out there pushing 580 or 600 through oem rods and clutch

I have been told rs4 clutch will handle up 520-530 but this not through experience just word of mouth i'm asking results from experience.

come on lads there must be someone out we all know that viperbl runs 551 on oem rods but not clutch, leon is got 500 out of s4 oem rods anybody else????

RS4 rods can take over 650 BHP without any issues!!! I must have said it here a good few times before!!!

massive torque will be the rod killer,stronger rods will give you more of a safeguard

only a few times well then you will beable to say a couple of times more without huffing and puffing

650 plus how about the standard clutch and how many cars do you know that have oem rods and are running 600+ and have had no issues, i think okim said there only good for 550 and s4 500 he has a few friends rods snap around that power mark is difference of opion or actual experience.

I know you have 10year+ experience with these engines, thats why all the questions

IMO when you upgrade you should be looking to get a good base for the level you're aiming for rather than living on the ragged edge, it will cost more but you can drive without the over inflated heart

The limit for RS4 conrods are about 700-750 chp.. And RS4 cluch holds that much power unless you slip it, I mean holds OK when engaged delicately...
I know cause I just broke 2 of my rods last month at 2 bars + 100 shot NOS

You could have broken them with 300hp and 100 shot. IIRC Okkims 550 for RS4 rods was just an estimate! I don't think he has seen any rs4 rod failures yet.

At 2 Bar+100 shot of NOS, even 1 degree too much timing can break any rod, not just RS4 ones.

you gotta be a nutter $ucker to run 2 bar AND some NOS !!!... Surely its like .. nothing... nothing ... EVERYTHING ....
