I've been monitoring these prices for a while, also Autotraders.

One owner, sat nav, low miles, dealer supplied car and circa £36k seem to go quite quick, obviously.
No sig, no RS4 anymore

Quite gratifying to see values holding so firm.

Still waiting for delivery of the next RS4 before selling. Tweakable, twin turbo V8 will be worth the wait

Great! Finally become regular. Must be the RS diet

Back to the thread.... think I will wait till the spec on the next RS4 has been firmed up before doing anything with mine. After 2 years am still, to my utter amazement enjoying it too much to want to change.

These look ok to me...after the bend wheel saga, Audi finally agreed to buy my RS4 back. It was Avus, Sat nav etc, 19500 mile was a Sept '00 and they took it back in Dec2001 for £44k. I thought this was a good deal at the time

Hi Guy - long time no hear - are you contemplating returning to the fold?

I was looking (yes really) at a 355GTS at the weekend with only only 9K on the clock - looked like a good deal until I saw the sevice history!!!
WOW do these guys know how to charge
A full major service 100 miles ago at 8.9K was £5100!!!!!!!!
The car was on a "S" plate

So back to the origional question "What to buy to replace the RS4 with??"

"What to buy to replace the RS4 with??"

For large pockets, what about the Porsche Cayenne Turbo ?
Although only available in TipTronic (but six gears, and seems a six-manual is in the pipe), it's already a 450HP Turbo avant.
Thus a tuner like Ruf might do some wonders on the engine/exhaust(600hp ?), race brakes and lowered chassis ?
Just a thought.

Actually, this scenario would do fine!:

Oh Lord, wont you buy me, a Muursaydeez Benz,
My friends all drive Porsches (and Audis), I must make amends,
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Ohooohoohhh Lord wont you buy me, a Muursaydeez Benz

Just explain to me why you would want to by a Cayenne and then lower it and upgrade the engine and brakes??.. isn't it then just a 911

I looked at the Cayenne and I know it's a cracker of a car (SUV) but it's still a compromise.. if I go to Porsche then it'll be GT3 or 911 Turbo.. pure driving machines

Darn me, didn't realise the 911 was a 4-seater with 5 doors and a trunk.

So I'll stick to my suggestion with the Cayenne Turbo as an over-powered AWD Avant.

Tim

It took me ages to find that CD when I brought the Missus hers last year
I sneaked it in the slot and the comment was "Fancy that playing as I turned the engine on"
Oh well you can't win em all!

Also theres already too many Blondes in silver SL500's around here (Essex) so how will the residual's hold up - or do you just forget them

KC it all sounds very sexual... you finding the slot, as she turned on the engine n'all!

Think if youre going to buy a really top flight Merc new and run it for a couple of years you HAVE to be able to write off a minimum of £50k!

In truth I change my mind daily about what I would like for my next car. The only sensible idea that occurred would be to join P1 international
