Does this mean the rest of the car is black leather? and you are just changing the steering wheel, if so how out of place does it look? does it match up with the airbag etc?
Cheers, Nigel.

I hope the one you have has the U shaped horn contact, becaue the one in the photo on the ebay ad hasn't. These aren't available separately from Audi and they aren't really transferable from one wheel to another.

the horn contact is the same size on both steering wheels, and fit perfect

Agreed, but you can tell by the way it's fixed on it's not supposed to be removed. It's not attached with screws but those (don't know what they're officially called) one way press on washer things.

I have one fitted to mine, although mine is silver, and needs retriming after 40k. Got to love them though

I fitted one of these to mine from the same ebay seller a few months back and it's been great. I had the alcantara wheel already though - it was grubby, so a new one made a big difference.

is it possible to buy this wheel
http://cgi.ebay.com/Audi-A2-A3-A4-A6-A8 ... dZViewItem
and put this badge on
https://sslrelay.com/s74326199.oneandon ... shopscript
because it looks the same to me ,i know the difference in te spline would be the major factor but the part numbers are virtually the same ie the normal one is 8E0 419 091 AC
and the rs4 is 8D0 419 091 AC 1ET
some one must know
please?

Looking at the pictures I don't see why it shouldn't fit.
The spline will more than likely be the same as with all VAG cars. Its the holes for the connectors, and it seems from those pics that they are in the correct position. Someone on here has put a Golf R32 steering wheel...so splines isn't really an issue.
The badge just pops out, so that will be no problem at all.

looks the same to me ...that would be the cheaper way to do it and you can buy the rs4 badge from "vag parts" for £16 ish .. hehe just shows ya what con merchants audi can be... chargin 1/3 more for the same item but with a differant badge ! wich costs about 20p to make ! twats !

I fitted one too, it does feel great but the rim of the wheel is still a bit thin compared to newer Audis, I also upgraded my gearknob to Alcantara (£60 from Audi).
Alcantara wheel with full leather seats looks slightly out of place but alot more racy.

Eddy,
How did the install go then? Did it come with the horn contact or did you have to swap it over? If so, how did you get on taking those fixings off and putting them on the new wheel? They scared me off when I took my wheel apart, but then again, I am the master of diy collateral damage.
