How much is my RS4 worth ?

I'm thinking of selling my RS4 as have moved to the coast and it is not really the car I want sitting in the sea air, it's a great shame as really want to to keep it but the new house is draining my finances

The problem is that the service history is missing the first service stamp as its a duplicate book, have phoned Isaac Agnew audi and they did the first service at 9000 miles. the reason why the service book was lost is that its a personal import from Cyprus (I guess to hide that fact).

Just wondering what could I sell it for as the missing service will affect the price.

Its a 2001 Y avus silver, fully loaded with all the toys but no sunroof, 74,500 miles and has a shortshift and konis and H&R Arb's fitted.

Any ideas and help most appreciated

cheers

Al

That sounds like a big lump off an otherwise £18k car. Audi have record of the car being serviced so I would have thought the import was the issue. As I recollect Cyprus drive on the same side of the road as us (at least on the Greek side) so I assume it is not LHD. There must be an aspiring RS4 owner out there with only £15k who would otherwise get something with double the mileage, or have to wait a few years.

Hmmmm so I lose £6000 because of that missing stamp ? being an import should'nt really affect the price now (it is RH drive) i guess with a full SH I would be looking at around £18k - 19k.

Looks like I will have to trade it in to the garage I got it from then.

Got to be worth a shot on Pistonheads, but I'd volunteer the information up front.

JR ...Is the missing service stamp really devaluaing the car by that margin? Or is it the fact its an import? Are you in the motor trade (buying\selling)?

10-12k my arse we all know of the black write off that was well hit up the arse made 12k,i will give you 10-12k pm me,sure an import is worth a bit less and no history knocks it again but not to s4 levels it just makes it harder to shift,i would value my 60k 01y stg 3 avus at 22k not that im going to sell it

Tracing history is fairly easy but time consuming ring the main agents until you get a helpfull one and they will tell you what the cars had done and at what dealer codes, ive recently retrieved a full history on a a4 t sport this way,it takes time posting the book here there and everywhere to have it tamped but well worth it on a motor like an rs4

Sorry but in the trade (im not in the trade BTW) i asked my brother in law who is and with an imported car and incomplete service history and that milage (which is average for its age) £12k is about right. TBH his said it would fetch £15-16k on the forcourt.

Get a dealer print out for the first service and the history is complete. You then have a FSH car with average miles that just happens to be an import.

My point exactly.
