Happened about 150 metres from home. Was stationary at the time, with car infront signalling to turn right into drive. I could see the car coming in my rear view mirror, so braced my self and kept my foot on brake. I bumped into the car infront but left no damage on his car, only a scuff on my front bumper.

The car that hit me was a fiesta, which is a real mess. Luckily it was just myself and the wife in the car. The lady driving the car said she was distracted by a cyclist???

Sorry to hear of that. Good news is that she is totally at fault. Don't accept any sub standard "insurance approved" repairers - you have the choice to take it to a bodyshop of your choice.

Perhaps we could set up a recommended repairer thread by County?

Sorry this happened, I live in fear of it, especially when my brakes are better than most other cars on the road.
Hope it's just bumper and tailgate, bolt on parts.
Maybe this bumper sticker I saw will cheer you up;
"I hope you've got good insurance because I have got good brakes" :wink:

I saw a great "sticker" on the back of a tow truck that had an RSJ as a bumper...."Your skid stops here"

Will be taking the car down to crewe audi tomorrow. Been recomended to me so they should do a good job.

I've been given a merc e280 estate for the moment, and the other parties insurance have taken full liability.

Don't feel quite so bad now contigo and red rocket, just need to wait until it's repaired. Miss driving the beast already.

ur won't be back on the road until april next year qkid. But wish i had mot and taxed it now.

Really like the 2 signs from above, but i'll be getting bigger baby on board signs.
