having owned a b5 s4 for nearly a year now i have decided to part with it and i've got my heart set on a rs4. i cant buy 1 until end of november but i've been on the look out for 1, i wanting to spend around 20 -21k would prefer one with sunroof and nav+ also carbon dash, any of you boys know of any good examples coming up for sale soon? also if the car is mapped and had a milek fitted thats a bonus as i would probably be doin this anyway.

Nice one Steve

Don't know of any coming up, but I'm sure you've been keeping your eye on Pistonheads, where there are a few examples fitting your requirements.

Not bothered about colour or mileage?

sure, no probs Steve

shame you're not ready to buy - this one seems to tick all your boxes apart from the sunroof : http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/191842.htm

Never dealt with him, but seems to know his stuff about the RS4's and certainly gets through a few!!
Personally I would not buy through a dealer, but instead go private. A dealer is great for warentee etc, but very few parts that would break would be covered under warentee.

When I was looking he had a couple in stock which I and he drove they were not that good to be honest then and also depends how you feel about dealers working out of the front garden and the cars not being fully preped for sale helps with the neg I suspose..... That said he was a nice bloke and seemed genuine and a few good contacts for refurbs etc, equally he has since seemed to grow his stock and I have heard a few people have bought from him with no complaints so would say defo have a butchers. Good luck! hey you can have mine if your quick!! :)

Jesus I know where you are there mate !! Numerous rows !! and my patio has been redone numerous times !! The dog keeps digging her up!!

I took loads of advice prior to both the B5 and B7 purchase and now class myself as a bloody expert in the art of dealing with the other half!! Kofi Anan has got bu**er all on me  It always helps if you offer up the strong residuals, load space for kids, dogs, camping trips, DIY stores or what ever else your lass is into. Also its money well spent because they are reliable (normally), stealthy, rare but Keep the BHP speed and all that quiet but if she asks then back it up with relativily good MPG for a fast car and finally the best advice I had off here was to "buy a set of trousers" and put them on so... I offer that back to you bud :) Good luck
