"Whirring" noise coming from base of windscreen af

....... i've switched the engine off. Also, A/C doesnt seem as cold as usual. Also, when i put my foot down there's significantly more turbo noise than normal - sounds like the air is being sucked or blown through the dash vents. Performance doesnt seem to be affected, but i could be wrong. I dont want to thrash her incase there's a problem. No warning lights.

Any help, please?

Hi Owen,
Not sure about the A/C problem but sounds like you have a boost leak to me. Have you VAGCOM'd and checked to see if you have any faults codes?
Make sure you check both DV valves and all pipes on the pressure side from the turbos- failing this i would recommend a visit to MRC and see Doug for a health check, only about £50.00 - well worth it he knows his stuff! He will do a pressure test and see if you have any boost leaks.

Common problem that doesn't 100% match your symtoms is the secondary circulation pump - Black thing at the top of the Y pipe.
