My Tanoga is ok but I noticed the following..

- It is not shorter in length than the audi original, although the throw is obviously shorter, it is too high so I had to lop a few mm off mine and cut the thread longer.
- It does not include a new main ball like the B&M one but uses the old audi one
- It does not include the plastic replacements for the rubber shaft bushes on the 2 rails that the lever runs on (like other manufacturers).

So I would look at other options.

I bought mine with a Tanoga short shifter already on it. Much nicer when compared with the standard throw on my previous S4. Bit notchy though.

Is it just me or anyone think the price for this part is really expensive for what it is?

I think it's really expensive for what it is.

The shineydave short shifter mod works perfectly and costs nothing (providing you're up to the task  )

As i said if you are going to get one I would look at the alternative makes, but it really is overpriced and doeas not replace the ball or bushes, so it's not as comprehensive an upgrade as others. It is no more than the shortened original. (and is too long anyway!!)

Try ebay, paid £15 plus a fiver postage for a short shifter from Zenaracing in hong kong as an experiment to see how good it was and once fitted it works very well, how it should be from the factory my brother said, easy to do if your mechanically minded and still have original to put back in case of problems in future.
