As title soon to be the owner of a 2000X Demin Blue RS4 and want to know best place to get a exhaust and chip from, also what exhaust to get i hear great things about the customer service that Miltek provide do they just do the one system ? I would prefer a slightly louder over quiet system so anyones experience would be greatly received.
I see MRC do chip and Miltek exhaust anyone know what this system is like.

Welcome!
That's the one to go for IMHO. MRC do a good package for the Miltek exhaust and tuning, and you'll get a full custom remap and health check - not just a "chip".
They also offer custom exhaust solutions.

Was in your car the other day, very nice it is too
Go to MRC and get the stage two plus exhaust. Awesome it is!

Apparently early Miltek's are noisier than the newer ones due to some perforation added to the later ones? I have an early one and certainly gives character (tunnels are great fun!) but it can be boomy at times but my wife hasn't complained yet (which is unusual...)
Never thought I'd say this cliched welcome so soon but.....
Well done for buying one in the best colour (IN MY OPINION

)

If you get the downpipes gutted and add a cat-back exhaust (there are a few combinations of miltek to choose from I think), then get a remap, you will have 460 bhp

I thought for a minute he'd bought yours. I see the other one has finally turned up on here then.

Cheers guys will be getting the car next weekend hopefully as Nick Johnson is dowm at Le Mans at the minute.
So when i call Doug will there be a couple of milteks to choose from or will i have to source an old one to have that deeper tone?
Apparently if i went for a remap & exhaust i would only gain 5bhp more than if i go for just a remap has anyone had any experience with this ? They guy said that due to Audi's exhaust quality there isnt much room to improve.
Would Doug gut the downpipes for me & can you get cat bypass pipes ?

Mine have been well looked after at MRC. Remap+gutted precats+back box Milltek = 435 bhp and 500 Ft.....!!!!! A huge bag of torque !!
You do not get 460 bhp with the same mod only if you remove all the cats....
Remap+100 cells sport cats+ back box = 450 bhp .
Cats make a big difference for the output and top end.
To be honest when you get around 440 bhp and more torque it is just great for road use...and it's stay reliable wish is very important.

Hang on. With standard downpipes (gutted), a good cat-back exhaust and a good map you don't get 460 ?

I do not beleve in 460 Bhp with oem gutted precats !!!! Main cats are still 200 cells psi and they are very long....
Just had some straight through down pipes fitted....no cats at all !! and the difference is massive, cats are very restrictive .
The remap i chose give me a lot of torque wish i really like, i can have a different remap with more bhp if i drop the torque figure a little.
Many RS i saw on rolling road with remap + sport cats + back box get on average 450/455 bhp with plenty of torque.
Once again some cars will give less some will give more with the same mods..
Anyway will put my car on the rolling soon (after my wedding...busy boy at the moment !!) and will keep you inform David .

Im no expert on the subject so please dont give me a kicking but i would agree with what i think David is saying.Mine has gutted pre-cats and a custom remap with a cat back Miltek and i manage to pull quicker fats times than say a 470 mtm (Flashyg's old times) and Doug does estimate 450 upwards or am i just talking
