Castle Combe Track Day

Post by BigO » Fri May 18, 2007 4:39 pm

Hi All, here are some pics from my recent Castle Combe track day.

My RS4 is totally standard, but managed to blow away the Evo FQ340, a couple of Caterhams, Lotus Elise's and an Alfa GTV Cup.

My friend (Alfa GTV Cup) managed to crash his into the tyre wall on the 3rd lap. Poor boy.

Anyway, enjoy the pics. More to follow - got another track day at Castle Combe on the 3rd August.

Car is booked in to 'see' Doug at MRC in June. Should be interesting.

Cheers all,

Owen.

There's an Audi Driver Track Day on 11th August too which I will probably go to. Fast circuit Combe, which suits the RS4 as long as you've go the brakes for Quarry!!!

Errr....... you need to brake way before Quarry if you dont want to eat tyre wall, especially in an RS4 due to it being wayyyyyyyyy too heavy.. :drink:

That's what I meant Simon. Brake into Avon Rise, off then flick left and brake hard again into Quarry :rocker: Sounds easy but no good unless you've got uprated jobs. 2 laps on standard ones and you're stuffed

Nice one Owen.

I had standard brakes at last years ADI at Castle Combe, didn't last long before huge fade. I have the brembos now so will be better this year. Hopefully see you there.
