Due to the impending purchase of a child seat, I have been checking both cars to see if they have had the isofix preparation..fortunately one does, unfortunately the other doesn't.
The car that does not is the RS4 which is now the main car - the manual suggests the isofix preparation can be retrofitted by a dealer, but has anyone had this done and, if so, how much?

Hi there
The brackets are easy to fit will take about 10 mins per side to fit, two mounting bolts and a bracket are about £40 inc vat at the stealers and part numbers are listed on this forum if you do a search.
The mounting holes are on the car behind the rear seat back at the bottom pre threaded ready to go and it makes the seat for young un very secure and easy to fit and remove.
Cheers "Bingo"

I had my RS4 retofitted with ISOFIX. Down here in NZ i got STUNG!! for th brackets though. We also had an AU made Britax seat which has an additional overtrap (much safer). Had to get a nut for the this welded into the back of the seat. Tidy job though.

I'm not sure if this is the same for the B5, but my B6 S4 avant didn't have ISOFix and I wanted it. To get mine fitted included some welding work, but I managed to get mine all included in the cost of the car (purchased from dealer)
It's not a big job either way though and shouldnt cost too much
