What to get coded by dealer on collection

Post by mrfish » Mon May 22, 2006 4:03 pm

Quick question - Picking up my B5 RS4 in a while. What should / can I ask the dealer to code for me?

On my TT I recall that you could set the doors to autolock over 3mph by changing a code number using the VAG COM tool. I know BMWs can code the seat memory to the key and angle the mirrors down when reverse is selected.

auto lock can be coded, as for the rest........ its manual settings... only other thing you can code iirc is dash lights coming on with ignition rather than light switch.........

You can code autolock, alarm setting beep and drivers door only unlocking on first press on the remote.
