Before i start please let it be known i am not trying to put anyone down or there cars im just making a point.
My neighbour you see is your typical seafront boyracer :knob: who has gone through all the hot hatches and has now decided to invest in the Subaru. Of course its the fastest in the land so the seller said and it will eat most cars especially the neighbours black Audi estate whether its got RS4 on the front or not. Now im not going to give him the oppurtunity to find out i will :piss: all over him because he is a boy in a mans world and should be allowed his dreams. Now to the point, he bounds up to me yesterday telling me how he wasted an RS4 very easily which i found hard to believe and decided to shatter his dreams and asked him to describe it upon which he described what sounded like an A4 diesel with fake RS wheels and RS4 badges front and back, now because of his motoring arrogance he wont believe me when i tell him it wasnt what he thought and now im getting the cocky smirk everytime i see him or any of his friends or family. Now im not mad at him but i am peesed off with the :dung: that is driving round with the fake car, he is embarrassing himself and making fools of RS4 owners everywhere and that goes for anyone else with an incorrect badge on there boot take it off because if you dont and i see it, I WILL!

Sorry, off soap box

I know how you feel, I suggest you have a go with him somewhere quiet, or ask him for a drive! And be damn sure you can beat him because if he's spent 35k on a type 25 or whatever they're called, or indeed a highly modded STI, you'll end up with egg on your face..

Alternatively ask him what his vital statistics are. If it's anything less than 300bhp, then I'd have thought no contest...

A6 1.9 Diesel with RS6+ badges. (just kidding...)

Thank you i was a bit concerned about the response i might get, and no its nothing as special as that we are talking 5k's worth of R reg with an estimated 250bhp, it does look a very nice car though all the spoilers and wheels and whistles i wont take that away from him.

Any petrolhead would be able to spot an A4 avant badged up as an RS4 - the widebody kit is difficult to achieve without muchos dinari-but not impossible. Other tell tale signs such as brake size and wheel width are dead giveaways.

Just do whats required to shut the :knob: up- :greyrs4: :bigblink:

thank yourself lucky your not driving a B7 rs4 - theres not much styling difference between that and an s-line A4

It gets worse maxxximus the car in question wasn't an Avant either it was a saloon on an x plate, see what i mean about his motoring arrogance or indeed the idiot with the RS4 badge's motoring arrogance

The thing is ive never liked scooby's or any cars of the like, for me to own such a car as an RS4 is like a dream come true its my pride and joy my everything (sad i know). Its when someone has the stupidity to label there motor as something that its not now that really gets me farked off. Its not like a 1.6 ghia escort being marked up as an xr3i because the gap isnt that much between the two but there isnt a comparison to the RS4 it is unique in every way and i for one wont let these wafers try and rip it off with there silly aftermarket bodykits and wheels and poxy badges that they buy from sodding Ebay.

someone take that soap box away

I had a humourous moment on the A1 a couple of months ago - Allroad 2.7T with RS badges stuck on the wings.... pulled up along side.... looked over, dropped back a few yards, pulled forward a few yards, dropped a couple of cogs... any of which would have got the attention of any half observant driver. Strangely, his vision stayed locked dead ahead. ;)

If you can't stand the heat..... :D

An R reg'd scooby....might have been 250bhp in it's day but I bet it's totally shagged and maybe 200bhp now.
How about asking him for his vital stats or both go along to a day at Santa Pod on a RWYB day?

Show him the video clip of Tiff talking about the RS4 - he mentions bhp and 0-60 times or send him an anonymous RS4 spec sheet with a few salient point highlighted. Top Gear clip at: http://redrs4.co.uk

It's really sad tho. I know when I was younger I thought my cars were brill, but at least I had the brain to realise what other cars were capable of.

Scottyboy,

I think your neighbourg is happy with is new toy, we are the same...However he need to learn a little bit more about RS4, so bring him down to earth and take him in your car for a nice "civilised" drive....!! :jump:
But remember he is your neighbourg so take it easy!!!!
