Stolen RS4
Stolen RS4
Just had my RS4 stolen last night around 8.00pm from Guildford, please watch out for it. Idiotically got done while trying to sell it - don't need to tell you but beware out there.

RE: Stolen RS4
Really sorry to hear that. Hope they're caught soon
Details in case you see something like this - I should have seen it coming. Be careful out there, hope this helps.
Youngish guy, early-mid 20's, short blond hair, about 5'10", on his own. Rang three times during to the day to ensure the car was still for sale and to check where it was. Very keen on the phone, said it was exactly the car he'd been looking for, in retrospect possibly too keen. He was reasonably knowledgeable about RS4's - knew the different trim types so I'd guess not the first one he's nicked. Said he came from Rickmansworth but when I questioned him on that area which I know fairly well his knowledge was vague. I saw him outside my house for a good while before he rang me to ask where the house was from his mobile, which I thought was odd, asked him how he got there and said he'd got lost trying to find my house, parked his car and got a taxi from the station. No coat but it was raining, said he'd come from work. Well dressed, smart casual designer gear, looked like he could possibly afford it, when questioned on how he was going to pay said his dad was covering the extra. Story was he was in the fashion business and needed an estate to carry his samples round but wanted something a bit flash. Walked round the car and had a good look, came inside and looked at the documents, took a couple of calls on his mobile (said from his dad) while he was looking. Asked as it was dark and the street lights were not bright enough was there a garage nearby so he could get a good look at the bodywork. Drove to a local garage, he had a good look, said he was fairly certain he wanted it, could he have a test drive. He got in drivers seat (stupidly, but in retrospect possibly luckily keys were in ignition), I walked round (thankfully the back of the car) and as I was at the back of the car he started and floored it. Idiot of the month but I'm alive and in one piece.

Sounds like it could be the same c*nt that tried to steal mine, and successfully stole another the next day in the South East. Comes on his own, sounds very keen, banged on about seeing an MTM one but it had been thrashed, blah blah. He said he wanted mine and just wanted to check the bodywork and interior. Fortunately I said no, but some poor sod lost his to what sounded like exactly the same parasite the very next night.
Anyway do you still have the mobile number? I have kept it and another that was given to me by the guy who had his stolen. PM me if you want to discuss it or if you want to give police my details and glad you're OK.
Guys - Is anyone genuinely interested in a little sting? Happy to use my area as it's central...

Really sorry to hear that mate, look's like a really well looked after pride and joy......
Whats it coming to when you cannot have a nice motor for fear of some F***ER either scratching or trying to steal her, IMHO I think the owner should be allowed 30mins in a room with the W***ER and no consequences!!
bobjebb I would like nothing better than to help but I live to far away mate, sorry
I really hope you get her back rblanford

OK just had a long chat with the guy who had his nicked. Didn't tell him anything, just asked him to describe the scumbag he said:
"5'10 ish, early - mid twenties very short blonde hair, suited and booted"
Plus a whole load of other stuff that fits. rblanford - Did this guy have slight acne?
In this case he also carried a torch when he was looking around the car.
Anyway the car was used in a £1,000,000 hit and run on a mobile phone wherehouse TWO nights later. They still haven't found the car, just the numberplate in Harrow, where the crook said he came from... Police believe this guy nicks the cars and then hands them over to the big boys.
So, there you go. VERY keen to get this mongrel if anyone is up for it. Police do little or nothing (except ring the mobile of the thief and introduce themselves as PC xxx
) until it is part of something more serious. Unbefeckingbelievable.

The one I know about has never been recovered, they just know what it was used for.
Sent a couple of PMs to those who have expressed an interest in helping out. Remember it shouldn't be allowed to happen and those who are less likely to be targeted for whatever reason - your insurance premium will be going up so it affects us all! I actually expect the B7 to be even more attractive to these f*ckwits.

Always, always see some form of ID from the prospective buyer.
Proof of insurance for the test drive is also a good idea.
