My modded RS4 can keep up with a 911 Turbo, so I wouldn't have thought a C4S (I assume that's what you mean?) shouldn't be a problem. When my TT was just 340bhp it was neck and neck with a C4S cab...

A standard RS4 vs C4S will be pretty close, marginally in favour of the RS4 (maybe) until the twisties of course, drivers being equal that is....not sure of the actual times that matter (eg: 0-100 or quarter mile)

On the road though, been there done that......the C4S was not a happy chappie. :)

My friend has a 996C4 and we have been "racing" many times. From stand still to high speed wet or dry - the C4 does not stand a chance. On the straight that is...

Just my experience on the road John - this is in a straightish line by the way (the test track my have had the letter "A" and the numeral "1" in it's identifier ;-) ).

Is it really so surprising that my 470bhp vs his 420bhp would be so close?

To be fair JR my old RS4 would just about keep up with Gary's tuned 911tt, the RS was quicker when the 911tt was standard.

Not surprised one bit. I know my old stage III car would have done so. Simple maths really. But then of course I own an Audi, not a Porsche...

your talking straight line speeds
thats putting the TT at a disadvantage against the RS
put on one lap of any track in the UK and i bet the first one across the line is the TT
I also dont have any reason to bat for Porsche only that i have a GT3 and regularly pass RS4s on the track, and i
have a job keeping up with most TT on track

Well, they say they look like their owners. Or is that Dogs? Can't be, I have a Whippet.
