RS4 Insurance

I have just had a renewal quote from Norwich Union for £1119. Not satisfied with that I have made a few calls and many brokers and underwriters have stopped quoting for chipped and modified cars.
Eventually I have been quote by Adrian Flux £843…But I feel this is a lot when I have full no claims, 3 points, and 38 years old.
Has anyone had a cheaper quote?
Can anyone recommend anyone else who will insure a modified RS4?
Many Thanks

Green Light are really good. There's a sticky in the RS Ownership forum I believe which should have all the info you should ever need on insuring the beasts!

try this lady, Zara Spencer @ Cox insurance brokers. They did me a special rate as a shareholder, but worth a punt if you have no other luck. Robert Jebb is the name, modified RS4. Otherwise I found the admirals and elephants to be cheap. Although £843 doesn't seem that bad to me.

Feck me........... I just paid 1300 to insure my son in a bloody mini........£843 sounds about right for a modified car, as mine is on a fleet policy I have no idea what the actual costs are, but previous quotes in its own rite were all nearly four figures and that was factory standard car...........

I got a quote of £430 for an RS4, in fact it was the same as S4 but needed a tracker. Direct line. I am 32, live in a good postcode area and car garaged and had the wife on the policy, she is 26. Full no claims.

You can sometimes find by adding your wife to your car insurance policy will actually reduce your premium.

however the saving is more than offset however by the bill for kerbed wheels. "oooh look at those shoes! DING!"

Fully Comp, Class 1 Business Use chipped and Movit brake upgrade, all declared £ 628 with Elephant. Note that Elephant do not cover the cost of repairing/replacing upgraded bits! Car is garaged and I'm an old git so that helps.

I've just run a quote through the elephant co uk website and come up with £340. This is less than half my renewal with Norwich Union Direct. Sounds too good to be true; does anyone have experience with claims/payout?

I've noticed you have fleet insurance including some tasty cars. Can I ask who you use and are they privately registered or business? My father-in-law is just adding a 996 turbo to his TT and A4 and has asked me to try to sort his insurance out - with me on the policy as he wants to be able to swap with my RS4!!
Any help would be much appreciated - pm me if you prefer
Thanks
Steve

Hi, I am with elephant, and had a recent lack of driving skill and reversed into my friends car.

Elephant sorted out the claim with no fuss or bother, repaired and hire car.
I got a quote of £700 for an RS4 from Tesco.
