Problems with My new RS4,Recommended RS4 tuners and service.

Hi there picked up my RS4 today and already have a couple of problems

1. Only my Xenons work

2. The car goes like the clappers after just being started and then becomes flat although smooth. If I pull over and then switch it off the same thing happens again.

Any suggestions ?

PS I do not have a hand book and can't find the fuse box so as to check the lights problem is'nt as simple as a fuse.

PLEASE HELP.... as I am feeling quite gutted just now..

If all else fails can anyone recommend the best place to take my RS4?
Ideally a specialist in the Midlands area. I live in Hinckly, Leicestershire.

Thanks in advance

1. Don't quite follow, no interior lights, parking lights, just xenon?
2. Could be MAF-related

Good luck with the car, it will get better (can't be worse, sorry  )

You can bring the car to us in Banbury if you want it looked at.... ;)

There's no running issue that can't be dealt with.

For the lights issue; take it back to the garage you bought it from.

For the mechanical problem I would take it to an experienced tuner...

Give the car a full mechanical/sofware check.....it's a good feeling when you drive and you know that it's checked...

Sorry you are having problems with the car so early on
The main fusebox is located behind a snap on panel on the drivers side (UK car) end of the dashboard (can only be seen with the door open)
Has Motorzone disowned you already then? why not let them fix the problems?

Not sure about the light issue, possible that both front side light bulbs have failed...... pritty shabby if a garage let a car out like that

The running issue could be one of many, exhaust temp senders or MAF come to mind, simple test for MAF is to unplug it when car goes flat and see if performance improves. A simple plug in to VAG Com should throw up fault codes which will make the diagnosis process much quicker and cheaper.....

If it was me  I would be landing the car back to Motorzone, with a demand for something to drive while they fix it 8)

Take it back to the garage OR agree with the garage that you will take it to a known/recognised RS4 specialist and they will meet the cost......it will be in your interests and theirs to to get the matter rectified in a short time-frame. The downside though is that if anything else goes wrong (with the car), the garage you bought it from won't want to see you/or the car again

Hopefully, the garage you bought it from will continue to be as obliging as they were before you bought the car  , if not then you are in for a long and potentially painful interaction given they have your cash now.......first stop Motorzone :bash: :biggrin3:

There is another method of getting them to sit up and listen if they are not playing ball.....I presume you have taken finance out on the car?? If so, then officailly the car belongs to the finace company until you have paid for it. Give them a ring as they will possibly have more clout in the matter with it being there car.. Best of luck.
