Nogaro RS4 on Ebay

Post by teknobod » Thu Sep 15, 2005 2:09 pm

The car has 100,000 miles on the clock but still seems cheap at £21,000 "Buy-it-now" unless prices have fallen?

I notice that the seller is reluctant to post the VRM, but it is clearly shown on one of the photos :bash:

This is not good news for RS4 owners, it a very cheap car, if you consider Tomson bought his with greater milage and over a year ago a for 22K...
And it looks like it could be sold for less than the "Buy Now" price too!
Cheers

If I hadn't just bought a new car and still had the cash I'd certainly be bidding as it brings RS4 ownership into my price bracket!

I think I saw this car back in February when I was travelling through Scotland. It was heading south on the A9 at Gleneagles and I posted it on the Spotters Forum as it looked just like me going the other way. That would certainly tie in with its current address of Crieff, Perthshire. I guess everything checks out for it but what a bargain at any of the prices shown. :( Not sure it does much for our residuals

I think its fairly good deal but everyone seems to be forgeting its its a supercar thats done 100k if its been abused or driven hard its not even worth that,a nice mileage early one will be in the mid twenties and its about right to knock ik off for every 10k miles on this type of car hey presto early twentys, consider things like if it hasnt had turbos or suspension it will more than likely need em,it depends what your happy with ie one thats had loads of paint worn seats etc,as ever you need to veiw it and drive it which is less likely on ebay and were it is.it may on the other hand genuinely done motorway work and be a very good buy for someone if they dont mind the mileage, all that sticks in my mind was seeing cars that looked and sounded fantastic but were nothing like when you saw them in the flesh and these were low mileage 30k plus vehicles

I don't think one cheap car is going to effect the residuals of 400+ others.

100K is bugger all to todays technology, If you're up for fixing anything that goes wrong on it yourself or talking out a 3rd party warranty its a bloody good price.

Agreed - ebay tends to be a place to advertise when you want a quick sale. The guy is obviously happy with that price and doesn't need the hassle. The fact that there is one with 30k miles for sale for £38,000 at the moment means prices haven't fallen through the floor. Prices seem to mostly be dictated by mileage when they get to this age. But as discussed before, if you want one, drive it, and just live with the consequences of depreciation!

Let's also keep in mind that the depreciation of a brand new S4 or M3 is astronomical in comparison to "our old used cars".

Hi Guys!

Im the guy selling this awesome car for my boss.
I assure you its totally genuine.
Was in autotrader for a while at £22k. His Range Sport is sitting in the dealership waiting for this to go. He was going to keep them both but i think then he would have 4 cars!! Lucky for some eh!
Its never been tracked, his company pays for the servicing so it been taken good care of by Camerons in Perth.
If anyone wants anymore info please let me know.

Cheers Ed

As I thought. Say hello to Crief for me, I was at school up that way, parents in Madderty, I had the best drive ever in my RS4 from St Fillans along the A85... Its a great road.
