But now im wondering to get the RS6 discks shuld be no problem?
THANKS!
/Jimmy Särås
Yea that will be good to know, becausde de RS4 disk are 360mm vs 365mm of the RS6. The caliper of the RS6 are bigger than the RS4 disks around 2mm up and 2mm down, so a part of the brake pad doesn´t touch the disk.
Regards

Although the RS6 discs are obviously ideally suited to the RS6 calipers, they will go straight onto the RS4 discs.
I have a spare set if anyone is interested...

What kind of cost are we looking at and what kind of breaking improvements do they provide.
I am going to require some new discs/pads all round very shortly and may as well look at the options of doing this.

Hi Guys,
New to the forum was hoping I could pick your brains over a few questions I have..........
I have recently purchased an RS4 B5 with the B7 Discs and calipers, only thing is under any breaking force the front end shudders much like you would expect from warped discs has anyone else suffered these problems? Is there anyway to sort this out? On inspection the discs, pads and calipers all appear to be in good condition although the previous owner said the brakes have not been on there for a long time. And I obviously cant comment on if they were bedded in properly.
Do I need to replace the hub for the B7 type to hold the disc carrier more true perhaps?
Many thanks for your help!

ebay link1 sentence steel flex brake hoses for the AUDI RS4 (B5) with the RS6 brake 365 x 34 mm at the front axle and at the rear axle series
Flex some crucial advantages offer steel to brake hoses. The pressure build-up in the brake system is passed on directly and without delay, developing when braking, to the brake calipers. This shortens the response time of the brake assembly and thus the braking distance. The steal-encased teflon brake hoses are simply replaced against the standard rubber hoses.

my pal has a set of SL55AMG front calipers and discs wth pads, would these fit straight onto the B5 RS4 without mods please. I have found that the AMG calipers use 334mm discs.
Just wondering if these would be of use on an RS4

Doing the B5 RS4 brake upgrade to B7 should only be done one way, that is the right way. Whilst the caliper will fit onto the existing mount (Oh and you do have to cut away a small section of the backing plate to accomodate the bigger caliper) the disc are not up to the job, hence will result in warping! The B7 RS4 brakes are designed to dissipate heat and dust far better than the regular vented B5 discs. As for the pipe, it passes through a holder which prevents the actual connection from vibrating loose. Do it the right way guys!
One is the left caliper and the other is the right, but cant tell you which is which, sorry.
The RS6 C5 and RS4 B7 calipers are identical in all respects with the exception that the RS6 calipers have an additional bar (for strength I think) on one side of the caliper.
The RS6 and RS4 discs are identical in size but the hats are different resulting in a different offset. Consequently, the RS4 B7 discs bolt straight on to a B5 S4 or RS4 (with the above calipers), but the RS6 discs will need a modified caliper mounting bracket.
Finally, the RS4 B7 discs are 'cross drilled', as are the RS6+ discs, but the RS6 (plain Jane) discs are solid (but vented).
