Looking to buy an RS4

Post by colinc » Thu May 26, 2005 3:57 pm

New to this forum so hello first of all.

I have had my current car for 18 months and have decided it's now time to change and could do with something bigger. Lots of ideas at the moment but two of which are more serious (and sensible, honest!). One of the options involves an old RS2 as a day to day car and a second track car. The other invloves an RS4 and forgetting a track car for this year. The only snag is i would need to get the RS4 through a dealer in order to get some sort of lease finance agreement. Will be looking to test drive one in the next few weeks. Anyone know of any nice ones for sale at any dealers please let me know. In an ideal world i would like

Silver, or Nogaro Blue,
Black leather
Fully specced
About 20 miles
Modded would be nice (450bhp ish and brakes)
Up to approx £30k

Please email big-c@lineone.net if you know of anything.

Welcome chap :D

Couple of quick pointers, you will struggle to find any with that milage, especially anywhere near that price. Try 40k miles private, or 60k miles at a dealer for £30k.

You don't need to buy at a dealer to finance, there will be other options open to you.

Good luck hunting, Ken (kcsun) has his Nogaro one advertised in the classifieds, it is a stunner :D

All the best

Ben

Ben,

Thanks for that. Only posted this a few minutes ago and allready had an e mail from someone here (Frank).

Obviously the lower the mileage, and the price, the better but will view each car on its merits.

Have you any details of other finance options? The BMW scheme i am in at the moment has a small deposit (approx 10% typically), 36 payments and then a balloon payment (typically 20%). Looking for something similar

thanks

Colin

Even better, speak to these guys...AV Leasing, 0208 877 2255, ask for Ross, they can do some great deals including balloon finance (lump sum at the end of a finance term), and the sweetner in my opinion on any car, even a private vehicle.

They have been first class imo, this guy even drove an RS 4 over to my house for me to look at as I didnt hav ethe time to make the journey to them.

I'm sure I :D ve said this before??

Have found a number of possible cars (including a couple of non RS4's. Sorry) and finance looks like being simple enough but not having any luck selling my current car. If anyone wants to take mine in on part ex or knows someone who can buy it please let me know. Its a Mini Cooper S with 245bhp, electric blue, 10000 miles etc (see add on pistonheads website in the classifieds).

Colin,

try posting a 'for sale' ad on here too, even if it is just a link to the ph one.
Some people (me included) won't be bothered to go trawl ph to look for your ad.

Will you take 5k for it - cash waiting ?

Okay Colin, send me a PM and I'll go down the sweet shop now. I better buy two bags as I might eat one on the way back !

Out of interest I went in search of your ph ad.
The car looks very nice. Good luck with the sale (my offer still stands :D ).
