Just thought I'd run this by you all, am i a basket case to be considering changing from an RS4 to a Porker C4S. Has anyone else on here changed to this model & since regretted the move. A 996TT would be a more awesome machine but would only be able to afford an early model. Would like something newer!!!
Your comments would be much appreciated

Obviously i'm going to say go for the 996TT as I have one!!!

Whether old or new they are all the same (bloody good cars) as long as you get one that's had a bit lovin!!!

Do the Turbo, it's awesome!

Pics of mine tomorrow with the new bumper and wheels.

I have a C4S and a RS4, if one had to go it'd be the RS4, you'll love the Porsche. Mind you the more I tune my RS4 the more it appeals.
Try a 996 Turbo though, I prefer the rawer feel of the C4S and in fact am looking forward to swapping mine for a 997GT3 if all goes well.

I have a C2 (Cab, 964) and I have to say that although the RS4 has quicker acceleration and straight line speed, the Porsche has better deceleration and is altogether a more engaging drive. But, at times it would be nice to be able to hear the music, and I don't mean the mechanical music. They are such different vehicles it's not a fare comparison, but if one had to go it would more likely be the RS4, ... Ask again after a wet or snowy week and you might get a different answer.

...Paul.

Be prepared to pay!!!

Rumour has it that the new 997 GT3 is going to be 10-15k more than the 996 GT3 when new!

Cheers for your comments guys, think I need a couple more test drives in C4S & try a Turbo for good measure. If went down C4S route it would need a sports exhaust to sound something like a Porsche should. FYI my RS4 trade in price for a 2000 52K car with all the toys around 25-26K, thats alot of road presence for the price!!
Hope to make it to one of the northern meets before the deed is done...
