Sick as a badger

Post by Paul_E » Fri Mar 25, 2005 9:33 am

Can't believe it 3am this morning driving over the snake pass a badger decided to top himself & ran in front of the car. Front valance smashed, put worst "except for the dead badger" oil warning light came on. It was a case of either spending the night on the moors or limp home, decided to do the latter crazy I know! 2 miles from home the engine started to rattle, didn't push it any furher & pulled it over. Will hopefully get car into dealer today, fingers crossed it's only cosmetic damage & not a cooked engine.
Me thinks this is going to sting quite abit
Will keep ya updated!!

Oh dear........
The damage should be coverd by your insurance inc. the engine if required as a consequence of the impact.

I dont blame you for not spending the night on the moors mate, sounds like you could of damaged an oil cooler and dumped your oil, hope not because it will probably be terminal for the engine, fingers crossed for you bud

yes fingers crossed for you. I've hit a badger myself - fortunately in an Astra - they're like solid lumps of lead!

Did your oil light come on at all? Surely if the oil light stays out you have pressure and thus sufficeint oil to keep things sweet?
