RS4 MAF is different to S4, it is a lot larger tube. I suspect the 'guts' of the sensor are the same. Anyway the part number is 077 133 471K which is £250+, BUT if you add an X to the end of the part number it gives you an exchange item and this is only £75+Vat!!! Baragin.

Hi,
Just order 077 133 471KX from your dealer, and once you get the new one, give them your old MAF. This is what an exchange is.

Also means that the item has been reconditioned usually, although, while talking to somebody at Milton Keynes, it also could mean that a new sensor has been fitted to the old body, or that it is a completely new unit..........clear as mud then...

Usually for MAFs it's brand new units, maybe old housings but the sensors are brand new

They can't be fixed, BTTriedThat and it doesn't work....

If your MAF is shot, your EGTs are going to be much higher than with a normal MAF. If you have doubts about your MAF (poor performance), just disconnect it and run the car with the MAF unplugged. You should notice an immediate boost in performance, otherwise it means the problem is not your MAF...

With it unplugged you will also get worse MPG. But performance will be back as it should be.

Did it last night, unplugged it and went for a drive, the boost kicked back and the car didn’t go to limp mode.I have to say the car was behaving strangely when not moving like the Revs will go up and down, I guess that’s due to the unplugged MAF.
So went today to the dealer and ordered the exchange MAF sensor and cost me 120$US. They said it will take 2 to 3 weeks.
Hopefully this will solve the problem.
Thank u all for your help and support.
Special thanks 4 Stuner for his help here and in the PM.
Cheers to all.

MAF replaced, my baby is back.
I think it all started when the K&N filter was installed and the oil from the filter damaged the MAF, so be careful guys when u go K&N.
Funny the dealer told me that what I ordered and replaced is not MAF its Air flow meter, what do u guys think?
Just wanted 2 thank u all 4 your help.

Are MAF sensors cleaned/replaced at service? Can they be done DIY? And are there any signs to look out for if they are dirty/buggered?
Thanks
