RS4 Re-sale values

Can anyone who has recently sold or is selling an RS4 or even knows of a sale tell me what market prices currently are for the RS4 ?
I have looked on the autotrader but there seems to be no consistency for models with 40k on the clock, most seem to be higher mileage examples at 70 - 80K ranging from £ 27K to £30K.
I am considering selling mine in the near future but have no idea what to expect for it.
Regards
Nathan

Hello Nathan,
Hows it going mate? Long time no see. You still down in leics?
Somewhere round the £30-32k mark shouldn't be too far off, just depends on how quick you want to sell it. There was another misano red rs4 with 58k went for just over 26k IIRC just the other week advertised on here but needed to sell quick.
Other contributing factors will be its general condition, spec from new (satnav, tv, sunroof, etc), service history - has it had the big 40k cambelt service done yet?
Best of luck with it, what are you thinking about next?
Check your messages, I've PM'd you my mobile number, we'll catch up and have a beer, it's got to be ten years at least!

Gav seems to covered it.........anything below or near 40K miles gets hammered, then they climb again after the major service and fall beyond 50K miles... If I was selling mine, I would be looking for around 28-29K and that is a car with 65K miles and full everything........

Just look at what the dealers are selling them for an then knock off at least 10% (whilst flicking 'V's'). If after that as a private seller you are adding value via realistic things such as Miltek/cambelts/tyres/alarm/brakes then all should enable a fair deal...
However take 5% off for a Tracker as they are now history and need to lower costs & up their thiefs' game...

As a rule you wont get your money back on most if any mods!
As for the tracker? knocking 5% of the car because its getting on a bit is absolute sh*te!
Diesel put away that bag of glue

Tracker may or may not work, but it is probably better than nothing at all..........and insurance companies demand it fitted on most high value cars now anyway, no certificate of fitting, no cover for theft.......

Hello Gav,
Must be ten years ! I am still in Leics, where are you ? I heard you were up north somewhere ?
Not sure if I can sell the motor thats why I am hesitating !! not sure there is a car out there for a dog owner to match its all round ability. Once I get the misses out of her 2 seater I can broaden the horizon a bit.
Was thinking about the RS6 but have a feeling it will not handle as well and not too excited about an automatic just yet !!
Not driven one yet though, have you ?
You will have to excuse my lack of cyber knowledge but what is PM'd ?

Ok - how much for my tracker - offer me less than the annual sub
Call me cynical (LOL:)) but after losing a car with Cat 1, disklok etc any thief that can disable those will make mincemeat of an overpriced Tracker with a huuuugee giveaway doodah screaming its presence...

You're never gonna stop a pro who's set on your machine, but you can try and slow them down, and stop everyone else. Every little helps!!

Diesel - what 'huuuuge giveaway doodah' are you referring about?

I do remember my S3 had a little motorrola antenna in the rear quarter glass, and I'm pretty sure tracker use motorrola antenae so I was a bit miffed as to why they'd put it in such an obvious position - I may have been wrong though

Tracker doesnt have any external aerials, but Navtrak (GPS based system) does.
I agree if a pro wants your car they can probably take it regardless, and if they have your keys then a tracking device wont help either - but as said already by others, it depends how easy you want to make it for the them.

Get 2 trackers, that way when they find the first one they will think they're in the clear and not even think of looking for a second
