Thought you folks in here might like this one.

He was at the ring over the weekend and apparently was able to keep ahead of the GT3 regulars.

I saw another pic where the carbon hood had flipped up and smashed the windscreen/sunroof...there's no pins holding
it down....not nice!

Would be interesting to find out details on the car though...

Don't suppose you can remember the website can you Phil ? - wouldn't go to the trouble of a carbon bonnet without
some other serious mods I wouldn't think??

The car belongs to Erik in Sweden, a friend of mine. The engine is tuned by www.ace-competition.com

Ace claims that the engine is good for over 500hp :D and that the car will do 0-200 km/h in 12,9 s 8)

If you have any questions, I will try and answer them as best as I can.

I'm gutted to look at this never mind to be the owner. So sorry to see this - The roof is wrecked - In my experience, strickly speaking thats a new shell. However, I've seen them repaired but it can involve welding and a lot of filler - everything is repairable.

I have a load of pics of this car before the carbon bonnet - very nice I really liked the yellow Recarros.

Lets us know how your friend gets on. I'd be interested to hear how they repair it.

Looks like the bonnet might have popped open at an inconvenient time?

Lucky that the car wasn't subsequently heavily crashed then! What was the cause, does the CF-hood flex causing it to unlock, or was it just not properly closed?

IMHO it is repairable, new sunroof, windscreen and hood, and a good mechanic, a little painting and it'll be like new. The body isn't bent, just superficial damage.

Nice register plate surround I must say!
