You have to contact Audi to get programming codes to swap the ECU's

Thanks so far
I Know that when you change the ECU that you have to typ in the old ECU code and you do need this VAG 15.. someting for it . But other then that is there anything else i have to watch ?? ASJ or AZR can the ECU just be switched ??? The tuners better to say MTM and sportec and so on do they have 2 diffrent program for the RS4 ??? one for AZR motor and one for ASJ ?????

I wouldn't recommend it. WHy not contact the tuner who did the map on the chipped ECU?

Are you are sure the 2 ECU's are interchangeable and compatible with each engine code....? Usually a change in engine code signifys something significant eg an additional air injection system
Here is the procedure anyway

there are differences in the emission control and monitoring systems between the two ECU/engine codes. Although Audi say that technically the physical engines are the same.
I'd say really that it may not be practical to be using an ecu designed for a different RS4 engine code, however I'm aware of one or more people doing just that!.

I'd contact the tuner. From memory the difference was in the Euro emissions bla bla bla. I'm sure the details are in the RS4 tech's self study programe. Which you can download from this site.

I would only recommend changing ECU's if you have the same ECU part # - even then you will need VAG-COM or similar to reprogramme it (you need to make a note of the old ECU code before you remove it too!).
