Has anyone ever been in contact with Tarox regarding what they can offer for the RS4.
Browsing their website they seem to offer 6, 8, 10 and 12 pot braking systems..
Have emailed them for pricing etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.
Also, it is very quiet at the moment - does anyone want tobuy anything ?

IIRC the pistons have a habit of siezing in the calipers due to their all alloy construction - plus their stuff is pretty expensive and not much cheaper than the competition.

"What are you selling ?"
Cisco, 3COM, Nortel, SUN, Brocade, Emulex or basically any networking product that I can succesfully buy and sell, saving money for client and hopefully make a bob or two on the way. Have been taking advantage of the manufacturers greed and channel pricing structure for several years now.
However this is the worst month I have had for ages.... All my clients have buggered off at the same time,

must be something they are not telling me.

I have been hearing bad comments that Tarox system couldn't stand the heat.

Surely 12 piston is overkill, I can't imagine them providing any superior clamping than the 6 pot GT3 caliper? 'm sure I have read somewhere (It may have been the Stoptech website) that 6 pistons is the optimal number for a caliper.

Tom did you meet RS4John when in Windsor? His car has an AP set-up that is being tweaked by MTM from memory and he sounds like a very enthusiastic user and really rates those.
I think a Porsche based kit is the way forward as no standard car decelerates like a Porsche. My 996 C4S now has Pagid pads and standrad drilled discs and I reckon I have the edge on a mate with his posh ceramics on his GT3 over a long track day, may be down to driving style and my four wheel drive stability but I hope to justify a Porker based upgrade to the fronts soon. As I don't want to track the Audi, took it round Goodwood and it was fun but not like the 911, I may just upgrade the OEM pads first to see what difference that makes.
Hope to meet you next month to have a butchers at your A/V upgrade too.
Cheers, J

yes mate, john's AP set up looked really good. IMHO much better looking then the MOVIT's. Although people seem to think that there is something wrong with the AP's.
Now I come to think about it comments have been made about every other brake upgrade. MOVIT's seem to be a FIRM Forum Favourite - Is someone receieving a cash insentive
Currently I am still very interested in the following....
MOVIT's from the factory - Price cannt be posted & I cannot make the trip so not really an option
AP's so far the best looking set-up, would be interested in total cost John and feedback
Porsche solution - looking into this with JAMES, hopefully meeting up with S4RS4 to look at how his are done. I think Dialynx also do this
Tarox - I just fancy boasting about my 12 pots, and yes I have a tiny willy !!!

Just for help: here are some Tarox photos given me by a friend who previously had an RS4 (Tarox 6) and now a M3 CSL (Tarox 10). He was and is very satisfied of it, even on Monza track (he lives in Milan and, as you can see, his cars are always tuned by Romeo Ferraris
http://www.romeoferraris.it/)
Ciao, giovanni
