Nasty misfire

My car's misfiring horribly when applying full throttle. The whole car starts shuddering and the check engine light flashes
The error log reports misfires on 3 cylinders. Anyone have any idea what the likely cause is? I don't really want to spend a load on new spark plugs if it's not going to help.
I did have a similar thing happen a while ago which turned out to be something to do with the lambda sensors in the exhaust. Would that cause a misfire?

I had a missfire on cylinder 3 probably caused by 100 cell cats. Audi binned the car instead of fixing it

Rob, could this be a dodgy coil pack?

What gear are you in when this happens? Might be worth getting the plugs and injectors checked.

It does it in any gear, but it happens most in 2nd and 3rd cos that's when I boot it most

Have you tried dropping back down to the std ECU programme(IIRC you're Revo - do you have SPS3?) - to see if that makes a difference ?

It was at Dialynx last week and they turned the boost down about 10% from what it was, and the misfire is worse if anything.

been having similar problems for the past 3 weeks, although more at lower revs, changed all 6 coil packs and all 6 spark plugs and MAF, all made a slight improvement but not really sorted it out
Bloody nightmare
Totally pissed off with Audi over the whole thing
AmD have checked the lambda's seem OK, next thing is fuel pump is making a high pitched noise so awaiting a new one to arrive as they are on back order
Changing the injectors isnt too cheap, really getting me dsown now so will be glad to see what you find out mate

Funny, I had misfireing 2 weeks ago, not as excessive as your s though.
Filling up with BP ultimate instead of the Optimax seem to fix the problem

Well, Mitchell from Revo came over yesterday and it's now all sorted
The main problem was a bad MAF which was reading very low. Fitted a new sensor, courtesy of Bushy (cheers mate!) and Mitch made some tweaks to the program, and it's all super smooth and speedy again!
