Question: Anybody know if this brake system (see www.ecstuning.com ugrade brakes, audi s4 cayenne system stage3), very cheap compared to others (movit brembo....etc) works on the rs4 as it is designed for the s4 2.7l, and how it performs?... thinking to buy one... 1495$ complete!!! Beautiful calipers!!

It won't fit the RS4 without redesigned caliper brackets at the very least - that alone will put most people off.

Happy to be corrected if wrong but I thought the hub of the S4 and RS4 were the same and so the brackets would fit the RS4 also. I know for a fact that the RS4 disc fits the S4. Do you know different?

I'm not 100% sure, but the front suspension arms *are* different between the S4 and RS4. Yes, the hubs are the same size, but that doesn't mean that the caliper mounts are the same ??? If that were the case, I'm sure a lot of S4 owners would be upgrading to RS4 brakes.

p.s. I would love to be proved wrong, as I would be the first in the queue for used RS4/GMBH brakes.

You would need 18 inch wheels though.

In the past, I have asked AMD to fit GMBH brakes on my S4 only to be told they wont fit for similar reasons.

I have messed around a lot with this and the reason that RS4 discs/callipers will not work on the S4 is to do with the added track from the wheel offset on the RS4. I had to use RS6 discs (365mm) on my S4 because the disc had an offset that takes it inwards on the car. Even then, I had to fit bigger wheels and space them out 5mm to clear the callipers. When I get time, I will find out if the hubs are any diffrerent. I still think the brake kit referred to for the S4 will fit the RS4 because the S4 is the one with tight clearances.
