Peterpan
the car did itds job and your alive to tell the tale.
The damage is superfical and i reckon around £3.5k to fix from what i can see.Suggest you use an Audi appointed repairer.
Good luck

Thanx all the massages, it's very kind of you.
The car has been already at my Audi dealer, but i'm afraid it will cost much more than 3,5k. Two airbags, dash, belts. These are about 3k. They speak about 10k! I trust in my insurance.

Always sorry to see and hear about car crashes. The only thing I would say that if the gods have decided that you are going to have one, an Audi is one of the best places to be in when it does.

Hope that all repairs go quickly and smoothly and you are back on the black stuff very soon.

Peter, it is not quite the news I wanted to hear from you in the new year. Good to know you are O.K.

I thought you might like to see this "action shot" of my side airbag. It was at the 'ring last May. As we hit the armco the side airbag deployed and the impact dislodged the camcorder which happened to get this shot as it revolved.

The car was repaired and neither myself or passenger had any injuries (aside from slight bruising and a slight wrist sprain.)

I don't think there can be too many pictures in existance like this. It was just pure chance it got captures as the film either side of this frame are just blurs.
