Which cars does an RS4 have to fear??

would be interesting to know. is a RS4 capable for example of beating an M3, M5,....in the straight line.
more interesting maybe, can a tuned RS4 (450hp or more) beat an GT3 or 360 modena??
Did anyone of you ever lost "a battle" at trafficlights??

I remember Mac at Windsor (AmD modded RS4) running to his car as this 360 Modena left the car park. Within half a mile he had overtaken it.

Really depends on power to weight, gearing, and top speed.

There are a few sites which list 0-60 mph times. Basically a stock RS4 should be circa 4.8 seconds.

The real challenge is 0-170+ mph. This range doesn't leave many cars in the running.....

Oh yes, do you have a clue how much time you need on the 400M sprint??

The sprint from the lights is always a hard one

Our car is very heavy compared to a lot so the initial off the line is not so good.

i have alledgedly raced M3 and M5. The M3 pulled away very quickly fromt he lights and probably got half a length ahead, this also happened with a Ferrari 355

But once into 2nd or 3rd gears, over 40mph you can just leave them standing

Is 400m a quatre mile? If so I believe Rob Kely did this in 12.5 seconds, but again this type of driving can only damage your transmission

I allways told my friends that the RS4 would certainly beat an M3 and 996, but it actually does right? So i don't need to change that [img]images/graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

Did you know, that according to Autocar, the RS6 is quicker to 30mph than a Mclaren F1..

I think the RS2 was almost on a par with the F1 to 30mph. But then after the first 1.5 seconds it is all over for the RS2!!

M3/M5/360/Porsche Turbo, all no problem in a straight line with a modified car. M5 no problem on a track, M3 depends on track and driver, Porsche Turbo on say Bedford Autodrome - not a chance - just check out howfast.com to see the difference [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] - you will notice the same driver (Martin Roberts) in both cars, posting very different times (although in a straight line he would have no chance [img]images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]) - its just a better balanced circuit car.

The only thing I have a problem with (in a straight line) is the Porsche Gemballa GTR600 - power to weight is just amazing [img]images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]
